Born and raised in Milan, Italy, Matteo Gastel started his career as a photographer’s assistant of his uncle Giovanni Gastel. In 2005 decided to move to New York City where he started alternating fashion shoots with his artistic research. Since the very beginning he created images of exceptional technical and formal perfection becoming known also as sophisticated still life photographer specialized in luxury cosmetics and jewelry. He has been a photographer for over twenty years, has collaborated with a number of prestigious clients, he directed few Tv commercials and his editorials are featured in many international magazines. Since 2014 Matteo lives in Los Angeles, but follows his work around the world.
