In 2016 Michel published his first Legends book on David Bowie, a concept that was born out of a desire to immortalise the images that he had created, legends that he felt were deserving of a coffee table status and a narrative that encapsulated the spirit of each of these legends. The book series is inspired by the original 1960’s Blackglama Richard Avedon images. There are currently three legends books in print; David Bowie, Rick Owens, Paris the Blue Hour and now the latest, Debbie Harry.
Michel talks and acts like a director in his role as a photographer, artist, using storytelling and conceptualisation, to envision the artist/legend in a specific scenario in order to bring out their inner spirit and free their inhibitions.
