Michel Haddi (special project)

French photographer and film director Michel Haddi’s career spans over 40 years, having started back in the 70s. His work is renowned all over the world, and is considered to be intense, challenging, poetic and with a mix of humour. Born in Paris, his interest in photography starts with a Helmut Newton shot on the cover of Vogue; after moving to London, he works as an assistant to the photographer Ben Lee, where he is able to learn the technical side of the business. After only two years, his photograph of the model of the moment Gail Elliot is published in the Daily Mail.
Haddi’s photography appears in many publications includingItalian Vogue, Tatler, French Vogue, Elle, GQ, British Vogue and The Washington Post. He shoots advertising campaigns for names like Armani, Rochas, Yves Saint-Laurent, Emilio Pucci, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales, and celebrities such as David Bowie, Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss, Clint Eastwood, and Johnny Depp. He later creates a publishing house, MHS, which publishes his own books: Made in USA, Paris: Dream on Baby, JP Gaultier Happy Birthday and Milano Centrale among others.
